Progress doesn’t have to cost the world so much.
The way we build COHERA, and the way we talk about it, follows a few rules. They are simple to say and hard to keep, which is why we write them down.
Complex systems don’t become powerful simply by adding more.
They become powerful through relationship: how parts organize, exchange, adapt and operate together. COHERA applies that principle to computing.
Different systems. Recurring principles of relationship. We don’t claim these systems are the same; we notice the same principle at every scale.
More useful work per cycle, per byte, per operation.
Efficiency is the product. Lower electricity use, less cooling and more capacity follow from doing more useful work with every step a chip takes.
Beside, not instead.
COHERA is a co-processor. It works next to the processors a computer already has and takes on the work it does most efficiently, so nothing a customer owns has to be thrown away.
Coherence between claim and evidence.
Every measured result we publish comes from a run on real hardware, checked against a reference answer key. If 735× applies to one workload, we say exactly which workload. If something hasn’t been measured, we don’t claim it, and what we don’t yet know is named as unknown.
Every estimate is labelled.
RECORDED means measured. ESTIMATE means calculated from a measurement, and we say how. You will not find one dressed up as the other.
Our numbers are a floor, not a ceiling.
We measure on the least efficient kind of chip first: a programmable development board. Custom chips typically need about 12× less dynamic power than programmable ones. That is an expectation, not a measurement, and we label it as one.
When power is the limit, efficiency per joule is capacity.
More than 2,500 GW of energy, storage and large-load projects are waiting in grid connection queues worldwide (IEA, Electricity 2026). Every joule saved is room for more useful work inside the power a site already has.
Perceive. Imagine. Embody. Measure. Learn. Open.
Not a straight line: an expanding spiral. Each turn ends by letting new evidence in.
- PERCEIVENotice relationships others may not yet be seeing.
- IMAGINELet intuition, curiosity, creativity and disciplined knowledge produce possibilities.
- EMBODYTurn the possibility into architecture, hardware or another testable form.
- MEASUREAsk reality what is actually true, and where it applies.
- LEARNLet the evidence reshape the model, including disproving it.
- OPENDon’t close the system around yesterday’s answer. Let new information, anomaly and contradiction in.
Two labels. Never mixed up.
Take one comparison, against NVIDIA’s GB10 graphics chip. Part of it was measured; part of it was calculated. Switch the label to see which is which.
about 6× less added energy per answerone COHERA engine, measured on our development board, against NVIDIA’s GB10 graphics chip on its own power sensor
RECORDED: both sides were measured, on the same job, with the same answers checked against the same key.
This is our floor, not our ceiling.
Everything on this site was achieved before a single custom chip was made. That is the point.
